A message from the
Head Imaam
A very warm welcome to Masjid Al Fatiha & Community School
Steps to Jannah – Together as One UmmahI am Shaykh Hafeezud Din Zahidi, the Head Imaam at Masjid Al Fatihah.
Al Hamdu Lillaah, with the tireless support of Br. Mohammed Khalil Yasin, founder and executive headteacher, staff and the community, since 2021, Allaah Ta’aalaa has enabled me to lead by offering a variety of activities and services beyond prayer, including religious education based on the Holy Qur’aan and Ahaadith, community events and support services, which range from Quranic study circles for adults and religious classes to youth clubs, sporting activities, and even social welfare initiatives like food banks. We also host open days, offer guided tours and have morning coffee mornings for our brothers and sisters.
The Masjid offers daily and Friday prayers and during the blessed month of Ramadhaan Al Kareem, it prepares food for those attending Masjid Al Fatiha who wish to break their fast together.
We have launched a series of monthly lectures by qualified Islamic scholars, open to all, to promote Islamic knowledge and awareness and our Masjid prides itself as being an active member of the Faith Communities Forum for the Birmingham area, where we use this platform to promote inter-faith dialogue and social cohesion.
Our Beloved Prophet, Rasulullaah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam), was not only aware of the dynamism and strength of young Muslims, but He made sure to harness them to build a better Muslim community. He gave responsible youth positions of leadership; He interacted with them in a down-to-earth manner, making a point to not only hear them out but to praise them for raising a good point in front of their elders and with this in mind, Br. Mohammed Khalil Yasin and I have always out the youngsters at the fore front of every initiative.
I look forward to meeting you in person.
